What happens to your project if you cancel or downgrade your plan

Here's a fear worth addressing directly: if you subscribe to Product Nerve AI and later need to cancel or drop to a lower tier, will you lose your work? No. Nothing is ever deleted because you stopped paying for it.

If you have more than your new tier allows. Say you're on Growth with three projects and you downgrade to Starter, which includes two. Your third project doesn't disappear, it goes read only. You can still see everything in it, your validation history, your reports, every artifact you've generated, you just can't create new content in it until you either upgrade back or bring your project count within your new tier's limit by archiving or removing one.

The same logic applies to storage and studio access. If your new tier doesn't include a studio you had access to, Investor Studio on a downgrade from Growth to Starter, for example, you keep every artifact that studio already generated, you simply can't generate new ones until you're back on a tier that includes it.

If you cancel entirely. Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period, you're never cut off mid-cycle after paying for it. Once it ends, your account effectively behaves like a Free tier account: your existing projects, reports, and artifacts remain visible and exportable, but you lose the ability to run new validations beyond the free phases or generate new studio content until you resubscribe or purchase a project unlock.

What you can always do, regardless of plan status. Export your content. Nothing about downgrading or cancelling locks your own work away from you permanently, you can always get your reports and documents out.

Why we built it this way. A pricing model that punishes you for stepping back, even temporarily, teaches people to be afraid of ever subscribing in the first place. We'd rather you feel free to try a paid tier, step down if it's not the right moment, and come back when it is, without worrying that doing so costs you the work you've already done.

If you're hesitating to subscribe because you're not sure you'll want it long term, that hesitation isn't necessary. Try it, and if your circumstances change, your projects will be exactly where you left them.
