How Product Nerve AI onboarding works, from signup to your first validated idea

Most platforms ask you to sign up and figure the rest out yourself. Product Nerve AI is built differently, because what you're about to do, validate a real startup idea, deserves a real process. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you land on the signup page to the moment you have your first validated idea.

Step one: create your account. Signup asks for your first name, last name, email, and password, or you can continue with Google. That's it at this stage, no company details yet. After you submit, we send a verification link to your email. Click it, and your account is confirmed.

Step two: verify your identity. Before you can create a workspace, we ask you to verify your identity with a government ID or passport. This takes about two minutes through our verification partner. We know this is an extra step most platforms skip, and we ask for it deliberately: it keeps the founder community on Product Nerve AI serious, and it protects the integrity of every score and report the platform produces. Your documents are encrypted, stored completely separately from your workspace data, and never touch any AI model at any point, for any reason.

Step three: create your workspace. A workspace represents your company. You'll give it a name, and optionally an industry, a short description, and a logo. If you skip the logo, we'll generate a clean initials avatar from your workspace name so everything still looks intentional. This is also where billing and your team will eventually live, but you don't need to think about that yet.

Step four: create your first project. A project is one venture. Give it a name and a description, then set up its knowledge base, this is a folder where you upload anything relevant: market research, competitor notes, existing customer conversations, spreadsheets, whatever you have. You can skip this and add files later, but the more the system has to work with, the sharper your validation will be. Step five: validation begins automatically. The moment your project exists, you're dropped straight into Phase A of the Validation Engine, no separate step to start it. You'll answer a set of structured questions about your idea, your customer, the problem, and your assumptions. The system will ask sharper follow-up questions where your answers need more depth, this isn't a form, it's closer to a conversation with someone who won't let a vague answer slide.
